Dedicated to the memory of Conal Daood Hills

This site is a tribute to Conal Hills, 11 July 1970 - 19 November 2006

Conal was my fiancé and an amazing father to his much loved children Tom and Ella xxx

Conal is Ann and David's son, and brother to Nicola, Damon, Gethin and Naomi, and he has a step mum too namely Tina xxxxxx

I know that We All still miss Conal each and every day xxxxxxxxxx

This Tribute Page is being set up following the demise of the Gone too Soon memorial site and will keep Conal's spirit alive.

Conal was a PC serving the West Yorkshire Constabulary joining the force in 2003

On Friday 17 November 2006 Conal went to work, the last night of a long shift.  Conal was looking forward to a well earned rest and some quality time with his family as it was the last night of his shift  - I remember him like it was just yesterday xxx

17 November 2006 was Children in Need night and Conal headed off to work, leaving a happy family unit enjoying watching the Children in Need fundraising on the tv.  He kissed us all before he left and the kids were giddy and happy. He was dedicated to his family and to his work.

Little did we know that our lives were about to change forever and that Conal's life was about to end.

In the line of duty, Conal was in a RTA on Bayton Lane following a speeding car - Conal lost his life on 19 November 2006, no-one was ever charged for the driving offence.

We have spent the past 12 years missing and adjusting to our lives as a family of only 3 and every year the poignancy of the Children in Need event pierces my heart along with another anniversary of our tragic loss of such A wonderful man, my love, a father, son, brother and grandson, colleague and friend - with everything to live for.

To all Conal's family, friends and colleagues - I think of you all often and know you all lost him too x

My heartfelt thanks go out to the Emergency Services, the Police Force, ICU at LGI, Rev Chris Swift, my FLO AndyLeat, Counsellor Dawn Abbiss, Misha Fell - Children's Services, Cruse Bereavement.

Cruse Bereavement services offered me a life line - contributions to their cause are available through Conal's Tribute.

To all who had the pleasure of knowing Conal -

Live, love and be happy xxx
